What Causes Cancer

1) Microbes Enter Cells
A microbe is found in every cancer cell. Cancer microbes get into normal cells and their presence turns the normal cells into anaerobic cells (an anaerobic cell does not burn oxygen like a normal cell, rather it ferments glucose to get energy). The definition of an anaerobic cell is a “cancer cell.” A Nobel Prize was given in 1931 (Otto Heinrich Warburg) for the discovery that a cancer cell is anaerobic. The microbe various, sometimes it is a virus, a fungus, a mould, acid-fast bacteria (which mutated into a fungus) or an amoeba (e.g. trichomonad).

2) Lowered Immune System
Most researchers, believe that in a normal body hundreds of cancer cells appear every day. These mutating cells are simply destroyed by the healthy immune system and never cause a problem. Cancer only proliferates when a failing immune system begins to allow abnormal cells to live without triggering an attack on them. An immune system is a system of cells and biological reactions which the body employs to ward off invaders and to prevent its own cells from deteriorating or mutating. The immune system is responsible for recognizing foreign proteins and sick cells and for triggering an attack against them. If you consider it, a tumor is a symptom of a failing immune system.

3) Lack of Enzymes
A hundred years ago, cancer was virtually unknown. At that time people relied more on whole foods, unrefined and generally in their original form. Gradually, processed foods became a greater and greater proportion of the American diet during the 1940s and into the 1950s, first in the canning industry, which then developed into the food processing industry. The idea was to make food last on the shelves as long as possible, thereby increasing overall profits. The way this was done was by removing the natural enzymes contained in the food. So as more and more sophisticated methods of removing enzymes from food were discovered, shelf life increased, and food value decreased. Enzymes are what makes food digestible by the human body. Lack of enzymes in food results in the food being undigested.

When food that is difficult to digest continues to be forced into the body, our own digestive system struggles to try to break down all the man-made foods. But eventually the system gets overtaxed, and wears out. We keep taking in the same amounts of pizza, burgers, spaghetti, milk, cheese, chips, and fries, but since we can’t digest them completely, they start accumulating in the digestive tract. Many people have many pounds of undigested food in their digestive tract which keeps getting reabsorbed by the body. The autopsy on Elvis found 20 pounds of undigested food in the intestine. With John Wayne it was 44 pounds!

Lumping together of red blood cells is a sign of the absorption of undigested protein. In normal blood, the red cells should be round, freely movable, and unattached. That make their way through the blood vessels and accomplish their job, which is to carry oxygen to all the cells of the body. The accumulation of undigested protein in the blood makes red blood cells stick together and the blood tends to stay aggregated. The blood has difficulty to circulate in such a glopped-up condition. The tissues of the body become oxygen deprived and are forced to stew in their own wastes.

4) Lack of Oxygen
All researchers know that most cancers cannot exist well in an oxygen-rich environment. A prime cause of cancer is the replacement of the respiration of oxygen in normal body cells by fermentation of sugar. All normal body cells meet their energy needs by respiration of oxygen, whereas cancer cells meet their energy needs in great part by fermentation. All normal body cells are thus obligate aerobes, whereas all cancer cells are partial anaerobes. In every case, during the development of cancer, the oxygen respiration always fails, fermentation appears, and the highly differentiated cells are transformed into fermenting anaerobes, which have lost all their body functions and retain only the now useless property of growth and replication. All carcinogens impair respiration directly or indirectly by deranging capillary circulation, a statement that is proven by the fact that no cancer cell exists without exhibiting impaired respiration.

5) Carcinogens
Many experts agree that one could prevent about 80% of all cancers in man, if one could keep away the known carcinogens from the normal body cells. Carcinogens refers to any substances that are directly involved in the promotion of cancer or in the increase of its propagation. Carcinogens may increase the risk of getting cancer by altering cellular metabolism or damaging DNA directly in cells, which interferes with biological processes, and induces the uncontrolled, malignant division, ultimately leading to the formation of tumors. Carcinogens include cigarette smoke, UV rays, smoked or cured meats, processed foods, pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals, solvents, asbestos, polluted air, polluted water (chlorine and fluoride), artificial sweeteners, artificial colors, and preservatives. Click here for a more detailed list of known carcinogens.

6) Acidic blood pH
Acid-forming foods (white bread, sugar, ice cream, burgers) make the blood more acidic. To sustain life, human blood pH must be in the range of 7.3 – 7.45. The lower the number, the more acidic the blood is. Acidic blood has much less oxygen, and causes a person to age faster. Blood that has a pH of 7.3 has 69.4% less oxygen than blood with a pH of 7.45. Keep the pH on the high side of the range, as close as possible to 7.45, by eating as many alkaline foods as possible. That would include raw fruits and vegetables especially green foods.

7) Poor Diet
Farming practices have eliminated trace elements from our diet and have introduced many very bad things into our bodies. Our food is more acidic, fungus grows in foods it never used to grow in. The nutrients in the foods of today are but a shadow of the nutrients in the same foods of 60 years ago. The way food is processed is an horrible. Numerous substances are added to food for appearance or flavor (e.g. trans-fatty acids or food dyes); enzymes are killed by cooking; salt is virtually always added; aspartame is added to drinks to make them sweet; MSG (which is hidden in more than 30 different food additives), and numerous other chemicals, are added. Too much meat, too much dairy products, too much salt, too much processed foods, is a leading cause of cancer. Even people who claim to “eat healthy foods” have poor diets, from a cancer perspective. For example, peanuts are considered a “healthy” food, but peanuts are loaded with fungus. There is a difference between a “healthy diet” and a “cancer diet” and you need to be aware of this.

8) A Toxic Liver
According to many cancer researchers, even before the symptoms of cancer appear, the liver is damaged. As the cancer progresses, the damage to the liver also progresses. The liver is the major organ in the body which deals with toxins.

9) Unresolved Emotional Issues
The scientific and medical communities are realizing that many symptoms and illnesses are the results of unresolved emotional issues. In optimal health, our emotions flow freely, are acknowledged, responded to appropriately, and then we move on to the next “feeling”. Disharmony and illness only arise when we become “stuck” in our emotions, try to ignore or suppress them. In some cases, the primary cause of disease is emotional issues. Until the underlying emotional issues are resolved or released we do not seem to be able to fully heal.

10) Stress
Over time, elevated stress hormone levels cause adrenaline levels to be depleted within the body, causing glucose (sugar) levels to rise within normal cells. The main purpose of adrenaline is to remove and convert glucose from cells for energy for the body, just as it is the main purpose of insulin to transport glucose (sugar) into cells. When the adrenaline reserves are depleted, glucose (sugar) levels increase sharply within cells – leaving little room for oxygen.

11) Toxic Products
- Bovine growth hormone in milk.

- Salt and sugar both poisons to the body.

- Processed foods which contains tons of chemicals, preservatives, artifical agents.

- Non-organic foods which contain pesticides, herbicides, heavy metals.

- Ionizing radiation from diagnostic x-rays, especially CT scans and mammograms; nuclear medicine, radiation therapy.

- Electromagnetic radiation from power lines, cell towers, cellphones, electronic devices.

- Air pollution which contains benzene, diesel vehicle exhaust, coal-fired power emissions, asbestos fibres, industrial chemicals, incinerators, pesticides, soot, wood dust, indoor air pollutants.

- Water pollutants which contain chlorine by-products, industrial chemicals, heavy metals, pesticide residues, fluoride, arsenic, hormone-disrupting chemicals, coal-fired power wastes.

- Toxic chemicals in household products such as cosmetics, fire-retardants, non-stick agents, solvents, cleaning products, building products.

- Plasticizers such as bisphenol A and phthalates in various plastic food containers, water coolers and bottles, children’s toys, teethers, dental sealants, canned foods.
