With tailgating season just around the corner enthusiasm builds and as people take out their tailgating apparel, many are thinking it’s a good time to get a new grill for tailgating (or they are finding excuses to purchase a new grill).  And with so many options available, buying the highest quality tailgating grill is often a lengthy process.  The issue is that there is no ideal grill and so I chose to present a variety of grills in several different categories in this review.  Each one is the best tailgating grill in that group and is a purchase you’ll be happy with.

While it’s not easy to select only one portable propane grill, the best grill is the Coleman Road Trip grill.  This grill has all the conveniences that you need for partying at a tailgate, camping out, or even just grilling at home.  The grill itself is 36 inch collapsible grill which has a wheeled base on one side that makes it real easy to move around.  One of the things that distinguished this grill is that it had a large grilling surface so you can grill as much as you want; it has 285 square inches and it’s 2 – 10,000 BTU burners it has the power to back it up.  The removable side platforms make it space efficient and setting it up is a breeze.  

If you’re low on space you may want to consider the Margaritaville grill.  This grill rides behind the vehicle in a standard 2 inch trailer hitch which leaves more space for your other gear or passengers.  When it comes time to setup, just swing the stand out and get your gear set up..  And firing up the grill is as easy as connecting either a 1 pound or 20 pound tank (if you get a special adapter) and using the push-button electronic ignition to get the grill fired up.  And when you’re finished, just swing the grill back and lock it in place.  It comes with its own lock to keep everything secured and you can purchase a grill cover with your favorite team to keep it protected when not in use.
