Rubberwood is often the most misunderstood species of wood in the furniture industry. The name Rubberwood invokes a variety of misconceptions due to a basic lack of understanding concerning its advantages. In fact, Rubberwood is one of the most durable lumbers used in the manufacturing of today’s home furnishings. As a member of the maple family, it has a dense grain character which provides for very little shrinkage. It makes one of the most stable construction materials available to the wooden bedroom furniture industry.

Do not mistake Rubberwood when it comes to its quality features. Much furniture manufacturing is done using veneers i.e. covering an inexpensive wood with a thin laminate of expensive, more exotic hardwood.  Wooden bedroom furniture manufactured from Rubberwood is solid and does not require the use of veneers.

Another important feature of Rubberwood is that it is eco-friendly.  After the economic life of the rubber tree, which is generally 26-30 years, the latex yields become extremely low and the planters then fell the rubber trees and plant new ones. So, unlike other woods that are cut down for the sole purpose of producing furniture, Rubberwood is used only after it completes its latex producing cycle.

Wood properties differ from one type of wood to another.  The wood which is required for making adult bedroom furniture or teenage bedroom furniture must be more durable as compared to the wood used for making smaller decorative items .

As can be seen, the properties of Rubberwood meet or exceed those of conventional hardwoods such as maple, mahogany, walnut and cherry. Thus we have the ideal option that produces solid and durable wooden bedroom furniture without the expense of other exotic hardwoods.  It is plentiful and Eco-Friendly.
