Buying new furniture for a newborn is an exciting time for all parents. The crib in particular has special meaning, as it’s the first bed your child will sleep in. The standard approach is to buy the crib first, then buy furniture that matches it.

While the initial cost up front will typically be greater than buying a traditional crib, they are far more economical. So even if you have a tight budget, you can still get a quality convertible crib for around $150.
The main difference between a $500 crib as opposed to a $175 one is the quality of the wood. The more expensive cribs aren’t as prone to scratching or dents as the others. Brand always has something to do with it as well, the more reputable brands will naturally charge more. The craftsmanship in general is better, and these cribs are more durable.
