Making A Homemade Baby Gifts Basket
Baby gift baskets are among the most well-received gifts during baby showers. They are something that sure to wow any mom-to-be. Baby gift baskets are very easy to assemble. If made with care and thought, they can really be so stunning. If you wish to create one, you can use different shapes of baskets. There are baskets that have handles, while others don’t. The size of the basket that you will use depends on how many you want to put into it.
The first thing you want to do is to think of the perfect theme for the basket. The whole gift would look more fun with a certain theme that could be a match of the the theme of the baby’s nursery or the theme of the baby shower itself. There are plenty of themes to choose from, and you can be very creative to pull that theme off.
Once you already have a perfect theme in mind, you can then start looking for the right basket. The common baskets used are wicker baskets, but feel free to use other containers you want. The gift basket can look very unique with a toy box, baby wagon, diaper bag, baby bath tub, or laundry basket that holds gift items for baby.
Arrange the gifts you want to put into the basket by height. You can put cloth napkin or paper doily in the bottom of the basket to fill little spaces in between each gifts, and they can also mount shorter items. Make sure that breakable items are wrapped in cloth or tissue. Arrange tall items in the center and medium ones should be on the outside. You place all the small ones in between. For a sweet touch, you may wrap the gifts individually.
You can use cellophane if you want to wrap the basket. First, lay the cellophane nice on the table then place the basket in the middle of it. Gather all the short sides first then the long ones. Once you have grabbed them all together, secure them with a string or ribbon. The final touch is to put a nice bow, without removing the twist tie.
All the materials you will need to create a baby gift basket are usually available at craft stores. Cellophane is sold in a variety of colors and prints. You can use the clear one with a few touches of gold patterns, as it is versatile for any occasion. Ready-made bows are also available in many different colors and styles.
If you wish to personalized the gift basket, one excellent idea to consider is including personalized baby gifts, such as newborn clothing and baby blankets with the embroidered name or initials of the baby. Other personalized baby items you may want to include are engraved baby jewelry, personalized baby dishes, personalized stuffed animals, and etc.
